Sicut autem sanctitas & justitia illa, quam fidelibus indit Spiritus Sanctus, non obstat quominus egeant divina clementia, & misericordia, ad remissionem pec-catorum suorum, tam quae admiserunt ante suam justificationem, quam quae post illam quotidie admittunt: ita quoque remissio illa, respectu nostri, plane gratuita est; nec putandum est Deum nos in gratiam recipere, & peccata nobis condonare, pro-pter justitiam ullam quae nobis inest, sive propter illa opera, quibus ad veram justi-tiam & sanctitatem disponimur: quasi opera quaedam nostra aut justitia nobis per Spiritum Sanctum impressa, meritoria essent remissionis peccatorum nostrorum.
