Τάχα εἰσί τινες τοιοῦτον λαβόντες χάρισμα ὥστε μὴ ἐπιθυμεῖν. πλὴν ὁ Χριστὸς ὡς ἰσχυροποιήσας τὴν ἀνθρώπων φύσιν καὶ τὰ ὑπὲρ νόμον ἐπιτάσσει ὡς νῦν ἐγχωροῦντα· εἰ γὰρ καὶ τοῖς πρὸ τοῦ Χριστοῦ ἀδύνατον ἦν τοῦτο, ἀλλὰ τοῖς πιστοῖς εὐκατόρθωτον τὸ τὰς ἐπιθυμίας ἐκκόπτειν.
