Minucius Felix — Octavius 39

Minucius Felix · Octavius · c. 200–240

XXXIX. When Octavius had finished speaking, for some time we, stunned to silence, held our faces intent, and as for me, I vanished in the greatness of admiration, because he had adorned with arguments and examples and authorities of readings those things which it is easier to feel than to say, and because he had refuted the malevolent with the same weapons with which they attack, and had shown both the truth of our side and the error of theirs.
