Lactantius — Divine Institutes 7.24
Now I will attach what remains. Therefore the Son of the most high and greatest God will come, that he may judge the living and the dead, the Sibyl witnessing and saying: for then there will be a confusion of mortals of all the earth, when the Almighty himself comes to judge on the tribunal the souls of living and dead and the whole world. But when he has destroyed injustice and made the greatest judgment and restored to life the just who have been from the beginning, he will dwell among humans for a thousand years and will rule them with a most just empire. Which another Sibyl, prophesying and raving, proclaims: hear me, mortals, an everlasting king reigns.
Then those who will be alive in bodies will not die, but through those same thousand years will generate an infinite multitude, and their offspring will be holy and dear to God. Those who will be raised from the dead will be over that multitude of the living as judges, and they will be priests of God and will serve him, and the just who have been from the beginning and those who worshipped God will live a most tranquil and abundant life and will reign together with God. Kings of the nations will come from the ends of the earth with gifts and offerings to adore and honor the great King, whose name will be famous and venerable to all nations that will be under heaven and to the kings who will rule on earth. The poets also, having heard something of these things from the Sibyls or from the prophets, told that things done in golden times already under Saturn's reign — whose error arose because the prophets of future things often set forth and announce most things as if already finished. For visions offered by the divine Spirit are so spoken of as already done what is still to come.

Nunc reliqua subnectam. ueniet igitur summi et maximi dei filius, ut uiuos ac mortuos iudicet, Sibylla testante atque dicente: πάσης γὰρ γαίης τότε θνητῶν σύγχυσις ἔσται, αὐτὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ ὅταν ἐλθῃ βήματι κρῖναι ζώντων καὶ νεκύων ψυχὰς καὶ κόσμον ἅπαντα . uerum ille cum deleuerit iniustitiam iudiciumque maximum fecerit ac iustos qui a principio fuerunt ad uitam instaurauerit. mille annos inter homines uersabitur eosque iustissimo imperio reget. quod alia Sibylla uaticinans furensque proclamat: κλῦτε δέ μου, μέροπες, βασιλεὺς αἰώνιος ἄρχει .
καὶ γὰρ γῆ καὶ δένδρα καὶ ἄσπετα θρέμματα γαίης δώσουσι καρπὸν τὸν ἀληθινὸν ἀνθρώποισιν οἴνου καὶ μέλιτος γλυκεροῦ λευκοῦ τε γάλακτος καὶ σίτου, ὅπερ ἐστὶ βροτοῖς κάλλιστον ἁπάντων . et alia eodem modo: εὐσεβέων δὲ μόνων ἁγία χθὼν πάντα τάδ᾽ οἴσει, νᾶμα μελισταγέης ἀπὸ πέτρης ἠδ᾽ ἀπὸ πηγῆς καὶ γάλα τ᾽ ἀμβροσίης ῥεύσει πάντεσσι δικαίοις . uiuent itaque homines tranquillissimam et copiosissimam uitam et regnabunt cum deo pariter, reges gentium uenient a finibus terrae cum donis ac muneribus, ut adorent et honorificent regem magnum, cuius nomen erit praeclarum ac uenerabile uniuersis nationibus quae sub caelo erunt et regibus qui dominabuntur in terra.
