Ignatius of Antioch — Epistle to the Smyrnaeans 3
I know it and I believe it: even after the resurrection he is in the flesh.
When he came to Peter and those with him, he told them, “Take hold of me. Touch me, and see that I am not a bodiless demon” (compare Luke 24:39). At once they touched him and believed, joined to his flesh and his spirit. That is why they despised death. They were found to be beyond its reach.
And after the resurrection he ate and drank with them (Acts 10:41) as a man of flesh, though in spirit he was one with the Father.
