Cyprian of Carthage, On the Unity of the Church 25
This unanimity once existed under the Apostles. In this way the new people of believers, by keeping the Lord's commands, maintained their love. Divine Scripture confirms this when it says: "The whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul" (Acts 4:32). And again: "All these were constantly united in prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers" (Acts 1:14). And therefore, because they prayed with effective prayers, they were able to obtain with confidence whatever they asked from the Lord's mercy.
Latin
Haec unanimitas sub Apostolis olim fuit. Sic novus credentium populus Domini mandata custodiens, charitatem suam tenuit.
